Pleo Dinosaur

Dinosaurs are coming back from extinction starting with the Camarasaurus. UGOBE has come out with Pleo Dinosaur which is virtually the closest our society will get with seeing real dinosaurs aside from watching Jurassic Park. The UGOBE designers and engineers have studied the Camarasaurus, which is a dinosaur from the Jurassic period. Pleo is the recreation of Camarasaurus from UGOBE. The designers and engineers recreated Pleo’s physiology and anatomy from the actual fossils from the Camarasaurus. Pleo’s height and weight are consistent with the height and weight with a one week old Camarasaurus.

Pleo is what UGOBE calls a 'designer species'. He incorporates all the basic traits of autonomous life that the Camarasaurus would as well. He is specifically engineered and made to mimic real life and cooperate and act toward his owner in a more personal way. Pleo is able to use all equipment of senses for sight, sound, and touch. He also learns as he explores the environment that he is placed in. He will show genuine, real reactions to any object that would cause a sensory reaction. All Pleo dinosaurs begin their lives with certain programmed tendencies but, interaction with his environment and his owner has subtle effects on his behavior and senses. Every Pleo eventually grows into and displays a unique personality and unique behavioral traits. Pleo is also capable of giving expressions. He can ‘feel’ joy and sorrow, anger and annoyance. Also, when Pleo is tired, he will appear to become drowsy and go to sleep—even appear dream. When two or more Pleos are put together they will recognize one another. Pleos also have the ability to get sick and have colds. UGOBE also warns consumers to be careful when putting two or more Pleos together because they can pass their colds and sickness on to one another.

Pleos are great for children or anyone who is interested in dinosaurs and intrigued about the way dinosaurs reacted to things in their time. Because of the fact that the UGOBE engineers and designers took the time to plan out the truth and look at all the facts of how the Camarasaurus interacted with their environment and those around them, Pleo is very accurate in their reactions and interactions with the things around them. Here is a small excerpt of how UGOBE explains the habitat of Pleo, “Pleo is a one-week old infant Camarasaurus from the Jurassic period. Camarasaurus were born and raised in giant fern forests. They evolved camouflage that allowed them to blend with their environment of ferns, moss and ruff, the detritus that littered the forest floor. The first Pleo created is a Fernback. His markings help him to survive by hiding among the giant fern fronds in his habitat.”
